My brother-in-law worked on a rig in the Gulf of Mexico.
Then a couple of years ago, they moved it to the Mediterranean off Egypt.
He goes for 30 days on and 30 days off.
He was on there when the rioting started. It was a hairy situation getting him and the other workers off the rig at the port of Alexandria, through the city to the airport and back home earlier this year.
Well hayles it's ok most of the time, the only gripe I really have is, after you have done your 12 hour shift there is nowhere to go and not a lot to do, the I'm on is a 45 min helicopter ride from land so it's not to far but to get here vie got to fly Newcastle to Amsterdam then Amsterdam Norway, then the chopper so all in all it's a long day,Quote:

Is it half term in the UK?
The reason I ask is that the schools which I passed by this morning are quiet.
If it is half term, then why wasn't the break brought forward to coincide with the Royal Wedding and the Bank Holiday? Talk about organisation!

Yes get full Internet and sky tv. We also have all the new movies that are just out in the cinema, I must have over 2 terabyte of movies from just 2010/2011 so all new.Quote:

Just seeing the news of a London Juror being jailed for contacting the accused by facebook during the trial.
The juror deserved the sentence. She was taking social networking a few steps too far.
It was a clear case of contempt of court.
