Getting goose bumps just thinking of it. ;)
We received promotional material from a major credit card company for their new PayTag service.
You stick a chip on the back of your mobile phone so that you can tap and pay at contact less tills.
( I don't really like the contact less payment system in the first place. It's not, IMHO, that secure. )
Anyway the brochure try's to reassure by saying the system is secure. If your mobile is lost or stolen, you can call a number to report the loss. How, do I ask when you don't have your phone, and with public telephones are a dying breed! :O
Yes call me old fashioned, but.... ;)

We are getting the advertising here also......and I for one don't like it either.Quote:

All purchases under $30 can be done this way without signing for it.
I have always paid by cash and only got a credit card because of flybuy points and that was only a few years ago and because it was becoming increasingly hard to book anything without one. We were thought strange as we didn't have any cards.
Next stop will be implanting the chip! :O
Thats new to me, i knew something like a debit card built into phones was on the works, but not a chip selotaped on a phone, or whatever i am misunderstanding. Can you give us the name of the company please so i can look it up on the technology, because sticking a chip to a phone externally dont sound great to me. I however would like something like an oyster card topped up and then be able to use on shopping without inserting debit/credit cards we do now with the chip and pin. ThanksQuote:

I do hope the idea doesn't catch on. I can see so many security risks, and fraudulent claims in the pipeline :(

I got to handle an iPod mini. It's so light and has a superb display. I also like the aerial views in maps :).
I won't be buying one as I have my iPod and iPad.
