this is a petroglyph on the same beach. The arrow points south south west.Out towards Samsoe Narrows.
Not exactly macro but on a bright day the ipad does a good job getting the colours right
Now, THIS is a woodpile. This is at our old farm. :):D
the oyster worker brings empty o.shells to the beach and plants them amongst growing oyster beds. The seed is on the planted shell. The living oyster spread their spawn and fertilize the seeds on the empty shell. And that's how baby oysters are cultivated. There is a lot of theft in the night. So says the oyster man.Not personal use mind you but whole beds of babies that get scooped and planted on other lease areas.
Too bad there are thieves that rip them off like that. That's a lot of investment in time and money taken from them. They can go bankrupt and not recover financially from losing all to some unethical thieving jerks.
Maybe, if they had armed guards....just saying.....
I just googled a superficial search and wicapedia says archeology is in compleat"duh" but some believe several thousand years of people inhabitating this region. No one I know would take a guess. It's to long to remember.
