    I wouldn't think so, peacocks are native to Asia and Lyrebirds are only found here.

    I've seen Peacocks living wild on Vancouver island in the late 1970's.

    They almost certainly were escapees from captivity, so I doubt that they're still there unless they can handle winters that hover slightly above and below the freezing point.

    Still looks like a copy cat peacock to me with that spectacular plume he has in the back!! Great pics, Leelai!!

    I think I'd fall over backwards if I saw either in my backyard. This morning, I saw a beautiful black Labrador sitting on our patio. Never saw him before, by the time I went out to check on him he was gone. Hope he went home!

    No I wouldn't think so and I would think they would fall prey for other animals as well.
