I'd take that as your "backyard" ...your locale! The blue bird is so striking and the cardinal seems to have stripes!

The Cardinal is looking like he's going through his moody teenager period:-) His Mum & Dad will be so pleased when he turns into a delightful, handsome young blade overnight!

That stunning blue colour is to "dye" for:-):-):-). Do you know what bird it is?

Just looked out my back window and it looks like there is a convention of birds out on the lawn! With the lack of rain, this well needed rainfall last night, has made the birds happy as well!

It's so strange to hear someone is pleased to have it rain! But of course it's seriously good news after a very dry spell, especially for your happy birds!

Only just been able to watch the wonderful little drama in your garden!
He's so funny and fantastic to watch!!!
    Brilliant to catch the video--Congratulations:-):-):-)

Thanks, Stranding!! I was very fortunate to be able to catch this on video!! Love watching the deer come thru and sometimes when we are lucky we see a fawn just having a great time!!

One morning, we saw 2 large bucks sparring each other right in our backyard! That was incredible, the noise of their antlers hitting each other was what woke us up! Just a sight to see!

Am going to post some pics later on for more backyard activity!!

    Looking forward to more pics!!

Bucks actually fighting in your backyard too... Amazing!!

In places here where there are herds of deer living close to people, like in Richmond Park in West London, they warn that the bucks can get very dangerous at the times of the year when they put on their "macho coats". Just like boys, then:-) but stay indoors....

Maybe the rain brought the earthworms to the surface and the birds were having a feast?

Just picked a brand new camera and waiting for it to charge right up. I agree, Stranding, the bucks can definitely charge if threatened. Fortunately, whenever we see them we are indoors!

A brand new camera sounds verrrry interesting! Hope it finishes charging before the fawn comes back:-)

This morning I had a visitor again. Bambi came strolling in at around 12:30 and decided to nestle down in our pines. I am worried that the Mother deer did not come by, but hopeful she's still around. Here are a few pics taken from my new Cannon--Please forgive if the pics are not balanced, still trying to learn. Picked it up today!

...and finally situated. Bambi stayed here until 4:00, than took off because of our lawn guys. Bummer...such timing!

Hope you liked the pics...more to come, shortly!
