We have a squirrel that scratches at my kitchen window when her feeder is empty and she likes my son, she sits right next to him and he can feed her.

In the past four summers, my family has spent a month on Beaver Island, Michigan. We rent this house for a month, this is the view from the back deck. You can get to Beaver Island by boat or airplane.

@ JWt...great pic of your groundhog...hope that wasn't grass or something from your garden. We had a few that tore up our lettuce patch and left a mess!

@ Fleur...I have heard squirrels "knocking" on the window for food when they know about a reliable food source!! How cute is that!!

@ MattiM...haven't yet made it to Beaver Island...but certainly is one of the jewels of our wonderful State of Michigan!!
