I do think that this was the case for our deer also, however, we do have an abundance of them at this point. They are starting to become dangerous on our roadways jumping out in front of cars. Each Fall, we have big signs that our City puts up: "Don't Veer for Deer"...many do try to veer and cause severe accidents with others.
