I am very, very tired, and need to go to bed.
This is a mushroom. They are called Morels around these parts. It is especially tasty sliced, lightly floured, and fried in butter.

I used to pick these in the mountains when I was a child. My neighbor came back with a small load today.

I take it.
It is installed in an equipment I use all day long.
Not good for health, but delicious.
The orange part is not really needed to make the stuff, but it avoids a mess..... What might it be?
