They're parts of the cast iron gun carriage of a 32 pounder cannon.These carriages were used to hold the guns during times of peace when the guns weren't going to be fired.This was to preserve the wooden carriages from weathering and rot during periods which could last for years.They would be found in British fortifications all over the former British empire.The first ones I personally saw were in Fort Henry,Kingston,Ontario.

As I am unable to monitor the challenge any longer,here's the answer.
The camera is the Contaflex TLR,a 35mm twin lens reflex camera.It was introduced in 1935 by Zeiss Ikon.It was the first camera in the world with a built in self timer.
The challenge is now opened to the first person to notice and post a challenge.
It's a promotional object to promote IKEA's we love wood campaign.
