Looks like an overhead fluorescent lighting unit. The first pic is one that's in the process of warming up or the tubes need to be replaced. The second is a fully functional unit.

It is a fluorescent light fixture. The pictures wear taken seconds apart, with the first photo being taken second.

A self propelled hydraulic scissor lift, probably used in the studio to set up the lights. It could also be used as an aerial camera platform. Originally Posted by AdmiralAdama
