My morning is suddenly complicated again. Rather than put the thread in park sci, you can open the challenge or issue another. Somehow I'm sure there's something of interest in the Viking souvenir chest.

It looks like a bulb used in an electric fire with "coals". In such fires, the bulb was placed on it's side under a spinner vane which, when the bulb was hot, rotated to give a flickering flame effect.
The fires were called flame effect electric fires. They were very popular in the mid 1950s to late 1960s.
...... ..... Sorry about that. I hadn't seen the posts since the flash bulb was solved. My iPad had given me problems. It couldn't open apps. It went into a loop when I tried to turn off the power. Al is up and running, but it looks like I need to get up to speed with the forum threads!

It's a double socket outlet, for an electric current 110 volt rated.
