They look like data connections.Are these connectors located in a TV studio and would they be used for supplying power to,and receiving signals from,television cameras.

That is precisely what they do.
The silver unit is the power coupling.
The large red housing holds receptacles for multiple audio / video feeds.
The small red one provides the connection for a production return feed (to monitor both audio and visual) from the set.
By locating these terminals building wide, every location can be transformed into a set. Useful when producing live programs with many elements or, for recording segments that may be disruptive to other shooting taking place at the same time.
