No I haven't as yet but I hope to in a few weeks time. We are heading down to Melbourne to travel on the Great Ocean road and we've heard we may see it there.

Sure hope so anyway....I'm still to read up on it all.

Oh please do Kevin, would love to see you here!......from what I've read the Great Ocean road is one of the best drives in the world. It takes in a lot of sights notably the 12 Apostles, which I really want to see as they are slowly succumbing to the ocean

We've booked our flights but still need to work out our itinerary. Col did this same trip not long ago.

Funny thing is, I was considering moving to Oz a few years ago, then things changed and I ended up in Canada.


I wonder how things would have turned out? Life itself is a long winding road. Sometimes you have to wonder whether you are traveling on the right path. I'm satisfied, but I wouldn't have minded driving road trains to Darwin. Of course, had I done so, I would have been wanting to try out ice road trucking. Can't have it all, I suppose.

Yes life is like that and can take so many different twists and turns......

I would love to do that drive up to Darwin, I have only ever flown there on a stopover....it's damn hot up there though and would be the total opposite to your ice road trucking. But there is some amazing sights up there too.
