Not familiar here with the kingbird but we do have woodpeckers! How good to go round with a group who can help with noticing & identification. (My sister does the same & really values their help.)

A kingbird...never heard of that one before. Great pics, Czevski!

Officially it is Eastern Kingbird and is found over most of the US and much of Canada. It was new to me this year, but now that my bird club identified it for me I've found it on many of my walks.

I really should get some kind of reference book or check some sites out for these birds that you post. I would think that we would have them too as well here in Michigan.
