    A Celestron NexStar 6se,with a white light filter and a Celestron E-lux,26mm eyepiece.I took the picture by holding my iPhone camera up to the eyepiece.It took about 20 tries to get the view shown in my last photo.

    Nice. My brother runs a 12" Dob on his farm. His problem is he got aperture fever before developing the will or interest to use it. And there it sits.

    This image of the Transit of Venus was forwarded to me by an associate who's with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. This image was taken during a public viewing gathering hosted by the RASC in eastern Ontario, Canada.

    If you have access to BBC iPlayer there was a special Horizon programme on the transit of Venus yesterday.
