Here's the local towns Xmas lights. Please note I got drenched just getting out the car, big storm overhead. Raining cats and dogs and floods everywhere.
The Xmas tree was in Stourhead our local National Trust House. It was specially decorated in 4 rooms for Xmas. If any of you saw the Kiera Knightley Pride and Prejudice Film, the scene where she is running in the rain across a bridge was Stourhead garden/lake.

Well! That's one more day of excitable students got through. I was asking them what they were getting and a lot of them were getting iPod touch and iPhones, laptops, £200+ etc... Sigh! Whatever happened to board games, sweets etc... Average amount was £300+. That included the poorer parents so god knows how they could afford it! I certainly don't have the money this year! Good old games, music, films, tv, and turkey. Old fashioned Xmas still rocks my world.

I enjoyed Christmas lunch with the men's club lunch club and wives and partners yesterday.
We met at the Bromley Court Hotel. A pleasant venue where their restaurant has been very very busy since August. I hope not for Xmas lunches however it's heartening to hear that there is spending £££ about
