Temperatures reached 42 degrees Celsius today in Sydney Australia
Sydney's turn now I guess, with those temperatures moving over to you from Adelaide. A nice 27c forecast here for tomorrow. Terrible about those New South Wales bushfires though, raging out of control in Wagga Wagga and Cowra. Apparently constant helicopter water dumps are still defeating those incredibly brave and dedicated fire fighters on the ground. South Australia are sending another 200 of them over your way to help. Hope no more lives lost!

I've been hearing a lot about these high temps.....and of course all the fires everywhere. Hope you're safe where you are!Originally Posted by iRager

The fires everywhere are such a worry especially after what has happened in Tassie. I've heard there are now over 100 fires raging and of these over 40 are out of control and being swept along by all these winds we are experiencing.

Well we are all hoping that you now also don't get those bloody fires! Honestly, Brissy does not really need that on top of those crazy heavy floods not that long ago. So far OK in South Australia aside from some dopey fire bugs starting spot fires around the place.
Keep Cool😃

Amen to that.....there is so much of Queensland that is very dry right now and it really wouldn't take much to set certain areas off. Just hope it doesn't come to that. We have been doing a lot of drives in the country in the past few months and have seen many areas that have been burnt back in preparation for summer, I hope these steps do make a big difference.Originally Posted by The OB
Don't get me started on those fire bugs.....just so ridiculous that they would put so many lives, both human and animal, and property at such great risk.

No, it's not nice seeing all the reports of what has happened. They are still searching for fatalities from it but there have been over 100 properties burnt to the ground and that's just in Tassie.Originally Posted by Richard Brown
Queensland where I live is feeling the brunt of the heat wave now with some places recording temps of 45 - 47° today. Just not good at all.![]()

We need to find a place with a happy medium. Sounds like you could seriously burn in Oz right now. Hope you lot stay safe. Meanwhile, I'm basking in moderately comfortable temperatures. -12°C today. Very warm for the time of year.
