In the UK, there's a saying that if holly bushes have lots of berries the winter ahead will be harsh.
The holly bush in the church garden is currently full of beautiful red berries.
....... My wife just told me that the long range forecast is for one of the most severe winters on record.

There's one way around that, you know. All you have to do is plant male holly bushes only. No berries, mild winter.

Raining here on the Gold Coast
We've had severe storms in Brisbane that have downed trees all over the place.......
They are expecting another 2 storm cells tonight which they are worried will join to create a supercell!
Had a lot of lightning and some mighty cracks of thunder that lift you out of your seat here!
