It has certainly been a wild summer. Seems to have calmed down somewhat in the west. The rivers are nearer their normal levels and the new lakes are fields once again.

There is a wind warning for Behchoko (Fort Rae). Hope that doesn't come south.

There were flash floods in Scotland, NE and SW England yesterday. It was quite warm and slightly muggy in the SE of England.

Sorry for the late reply guys. We keep on loosing Internet connection due to the storm. I'm safe here with my sister, nephew and nieces. Sigh, my city and cities around are totally flooded. Some areas are neck deep. Fortunately the house is a 5 floor building. My sis and her husband plus 4kids evacuated to my place 4am before it flooded their city.
Good thing I have stocked gallons of water, food and batteries just in case the weather comes to its worst.
I feel sad for those who left their homes to be safe on higher grounds. Sad for those who got stranded on streets because of the flood. And totally sad for those who died.

I love in Stuttgart and weather was great until yesterday when the rain came and temps dropped from mid 30s to high teens. Hope sun comes back out and warms up things. We have several parties and wine fest to attend.

Hi Quake, I'm relieved to learn that you and your family are safe, but it is so sad to read about the destruction and loss of life and property. Let's hope the storms leave quickly and the floods recede soon, so that you folks can start putting your lives together.

Stay safe, all of you. You will be in our thoughts.

I am so sorry to hear of this Quake. So glad that you and yours are safe and dry and well and a prayer for those less fortunate.

Our State Queensland in Australia went through this early last year with well over 20,000 homes in my city alone being totally inundated with water, so I know what you are experiencing. it's amazing what adversity will bring to a people who then band together for the goodwill of all.

    Stay safe Quake!

Richard and Leelai, we're safe, dry, and warm. It is a total mess for my sister's house in Provident, Marikina. Their property is damaged. Hopefully this won't be the same like Ondoy of the previous years. They were trapped then on the second floor with their heads inches away from the ceiling. Snakes were seen all over, outside and inside the house. Luckily my area is located on higher grounds and flood is only knee deep. The flood reached 25 feet above ground in their area during Ondoy.
Thanks for the prayers. That is what keeps me confident.

I was reading about a mudslide, triggered by torrential rain, which claimed lives in Manila. There is a photo of rescuers at work in the Marikina suburb of Manila. It looks frightening, Quake. The story is in the Evening Standard.

The report etc make sad reading. Our thoughts and prayers remain with you and yours.
