    We had another road closure so fire fighters could access the site from a different point to complete the fire break. Which they did.

    A Ministry of Natural Resources helicopter was water bombing to ensure the flames don't take off again. I don't hear it flying around this morning so that's promising.

    Water Bombers were called back today.
    Fire Services fighting spot fires and flare ups. A bulldozer and an excavator are overhauling hot spots.

    3 fire fighters hospitalized for heat stroke.

    Weather here is currently 21°C,cloudy with a light drizzle. Scattered thunderstorms are predicted but haven't happened yet.

    It's dry with a high cloud cover which is breaking up to allow the sun through. Forecast is 20C and dry. I hope so for our BBQ
