Yup! It's a great morning here too! I'm thinking of going to Tyntesfield house near Bristol as hubby has a bakery stall there today. Tyntesfield is owned by the National Trust, I expect you saw all the hoo ha surrounding it when the national lottery funded it's refurbishment. The house looked beautiful from the outside but when we got there last time the tickets to get in were gone already so we had to content ourselves with the garden and veg areas. We had a picnic after hubby had finished at 4pm. I will enclose a photo from last year with it's tarpaulin coat.

I hope it doesn't rain today! Our second sports day is today and I'd rather be outside in the sun than teaching indoors!

I forgot to ask you Julie. Were you all concerned about flooding after the Japan Tsunami?

The waves dissipated quite quickly as they traversed the Pacific.

    Richard,
It was a concern initially,of course.
We watched the progress but knew when no wave was detected in Guam there would not be a problem.
Some of the locals went down to the beach to watch ,but in the morning reported nothing.
The biggest issue here is ignorance.
With previous earthquakes here in vanuatu we have watched in horror as the locals, pack up their belongings and head up to the hills 2-3 hours after an earth quake.they then stay up in the high areas for days!!!!
We have finally explained that if a really big earthquake occurs, just grab your kids and head up hill.
There would be a tsunami within 15 mins to 40 mins tops!
But the reality is that with our geographical position we are protected both by outer islands and by the very deep water that surrounds us.
A rise in water level would be the only effect if any.
But will keep our fingers crossed just in case.
    Greetings from paradise,on my iPad

    Sorry slips!
Was trying to say poor people.
It's the clean up afterwards that is the real hassle.and dust just gets everywhere.
Very sorry for those in it!
