Thanks, Leelai. We have grown to really enjoy the area for its diversity, and closeness to the countryside as well as London.Originally Posted by leelai

Richard...very nice pics of the different style homes there. I also enjoyed your walk through of the nature park. That is just so inviting!

Thank you Richard and Scifan and everyone who posts here. It is so nice to roam in places I may never go. And to make mental comparisons to places I have been.
About a week ago, I enjoyed another urban walk. My photos show Edwardian and Victorian house. A great Victorian industrial building, a converted open air swimming pool ( Lido), a nice recreation ground, a parade of shops and a pub. I stopped in a tea shop, not the pub, for refreshments.
Sadly timber details over period house entrances are ripped out and the red bricks painted white. Sigh ......
There is a car under all of that ivy. Lots of us want to know what type it is![]()
The right hand photo is of The one time Lido.
. A conservatory with a view.
Going out with a bang! I believe he Canadian HMV chain may rescue the UK chain.

Two days ago I took advantage of the calm dry weather and went from a short walk. Here are some photographs. The early 20th century houses are not protected and not listed and they are not in a conservation area. However I like the decorative rendered panels on the front of them, something like pargetting.
We live quite close to open land and enclosures were horses are kept, and allotments next to a tennis and squash club....
These flats were built on the side of a hospital which used to serve Bromley
The last two photographs show an area which is being cleared out ready for redevelopment as shops cinema etc.
