Hoping all our members and staff in Auz were far from the Great Barrier Reef this weekend.

According to this BBC report - the jets may not have had sufficient fuel to push further out to sea
and maintain a margin of safety.

I had a look at the news reports here....they did say they were low on fuel and didn't want to land with a payload.

I guess it will give divers something to look for now. Just not what should be there though.

This could be material for 'Sharknado 2'!

A ginormous waterspout forms over the reef at the same time one of the bombs spontaneously detonates. The over pressure ejects thousands of sharks into the vortex. The spout then moves inland spitting out the toothy monsters on unsuspecting Aussie citizens!

Oh! And Mad Max comes out of retirement to save the day.

    Never gets tired.

There was apparently no environmental impact but why they would have a bombing range on one of those subtropical islands is beyond me, given Oz empty spaces elsewhere.
Loved that video film extract AA. Reminded me of the local hoons a few blocks away doing burnouts last Saturday night

The US forces seem to have missed a trick here. If the bombs are safe, why doesn't the navy retrieve them? That could be a training exercise which shows responsibility.

    It's a boy.

    4:24pm London local time.

    Name pending.

It is almost certain John, Paul, George and Ringo are out of the question.

Mick, Keith, Ron and Charlie are long shots.
