Last summer, my son built a hut for his telescope. Unfortunately, he used cheap material. This is what the last two days' storms did to it:

The roof is lying on the hut's left side.

I took this picture from his room's window and tried to sharpen it with Snapseed. Sorry if it's still a little out of focus!
His telescope "survived" the bad weather without greater harm.

I guess he'll use the better materials the second time around.

That was lucky in that the expensive kit survived!

He can't afford it at the moment. And he won't let me help him. :-( Sometimes he's as stubborn as his mother.;-)

He'll be able to repair that without much trouble.
His scope looks impressive. Does he use it for astrophotography?

Yes, that's why he bought it. But he didn't have too many occasions until now.

Every other year, the BBC hosts Comic Relief events to raise funds for good causes both overseas and in the UK. Impressive amounts of monies are pledged etc.

This year, over £75m has been pledged.

The digital world has revolutionized astrophotography. Long ago I attempted it with film, with mixed results. I was an impatient young man too so that didn't help.

I hope your son posts some of his work in the future.
