The tick box you mentioned in your second point is for Multi-quoting when responding to a thread. When you tap the tick box the header of the post turns yellow, you can then go to another post and do the same thing.

Now I'm using up to date kit, I am discovering new features, and what I suspected to be some dormant features not accessible in early iOS versions.

BTW. I checked the multi quote feature and posted a screenshot of the menu, without carrying through with the multi quote. Just in case others think I had problems with the feature.

I have attached this screenshot to guide you, and as a excuse to road test the iPad.

BTW. I have run with 2 niggles about iPF for some time.

1. I cannot add any forums to favourites. I follow the instructions, but cannot fing the add to favourites button! A screen shot would help

2. Why is there a tick box top left of a post in its share / report / quote menu bar. All I get is the post highlighted in yellow, and no follow on action is offered!

I am sure there very straightforward answers. Perhaps I should follow my own advice and search for the answers. Well. Forgive me for being lazy!

The check box is for multiquoting, amongst other things. If you check two or more posts, and then go to the action button, and select Multiquote, all of the post you want to quote will appear on your post.

EDIT: I guess if I had read further, I would have seen that scifan had already answered. So much for searching.
