Have seen reports that some utilities in the eastern U.S. are using brownouts to cope with the high AC demand during the heatwave and storm damage.

this is a great thread.
from the higgs boson via manholes to general roadworks, and i'm sure i've seen sergeant pepper mentioned at least once.
i had a similar fascination not long ago with a jar of lemon curd i found in my fridge. never wittingly having purchased such a thing i'm still conducting experiments to establish what may be its purpose, if not its meaning. (its origins very possibly are lost in the mists of time). i have a hunch that adding some vodka to it may assist the matter greatly. in fact, seeing that it's coming up quarter to one on a friday night and i'm peckish i may go about it right now and then report back, if that's all right with everyone...

Welcome to the forum & this odd thread!
I'm just having a late toast fest (granary & scrape) and if it's OK with you, I'll join you in a snifter of vodka & lemon...curd.
Sounds a bit iffy if you don't know or can't remember the original purpose. In other words, it must be really old and probably growing hairy mould. But never mind, if it's Scientific & Experimental, must be OK.
I was just day dreaming about twittering. I never have. But if I did, what would I want to say that was of significance in 140 (?) letters? Whatever the text turned out to be, how about trying to say it using the rule that I must use ALL the letters allowed in as FEW words as was possible?
Hmmm. All the words would need to be really adventurous long ones. And the text has also to be meaningful, if not deep.
That is as far as my brain has travelled so far. As soon as my glass of the V & LC arrives & is downed I will need to retire. Perhaps pick it up tomorrow...the twitty idea, not the V&LC!
Edit: Admiral, what's a Cylon?
