Mr. Fawks was a terrorist or so they say. A movie was made.
Mince pies are lovely and by Xmas Puds, I think he/she means Christmas Puddings. Also delightful. Do not forget the rum sauce.
So is the Christmas Goose. (and no, I do not mean the traditional pinching of a lovely derriere) First, you must kill a goose. Then strip it of its feathers and pull out the innards. Be sure to check the bird for errant buckshot. Failure to do that, and, well, when you are chased over the river and through the projects by angry gang members and finally, through the woods to grandmothers house you go, she can damage a denture if she bites some buckshot.
Anyway, you brine the bird and cook it. Ideally, you smoke it. Yummy. Especially nice with Xmas Puds and Mince Pies. You need pumpkin pie or sweet potato pie, a relish tray, yams, chestnut stuffing, a plate of shellfish like oysters, some really fine strong drink, some alcoholics, and a willing female when it comes time for the traditional Christmas goose.

Absolutely true. I was there and my head was actually licked by that very same cow. I have proof on 8 millimeter film.

Changing the topic again... My university stinks in that I've been waiting three weeks longer than most in my program (2 others are in my boat) to get student teaching placements for this semester. So I took matters into my own hands and secured my spring student teaching placement on my own. My former high school teacher emailed me this morning and said definitely yes to next semester. I am so stoked- he's one of my favorite teachers ever!! I'll be a little intimidated having him watching me.. But I also know I'm going to learn from the best!

Good for you!! When I was teaching I had a university student who was doing participation with me prior other student teaching, she was excellent. She was able to request placement with me for the student teaching. She continued her excellence and graduated with honors. Though she lives several state away now, we stay in touch from time to time.

I'm very nervous because of how awesome he is, but like I said I know I'd be learning from someone really amazing. I don't know if I need approval from anyone else - the principal probably - but I'm hoping the program director can do that part.

I love teaching kids Lyndsey. So satisfying when they do well in exams tests. I've had a few letters of thanks and Facebook posts from ex students. We aren't allowed to post to current students which I think is a good idea. Some students abuse it. Good luck with interview. Very nerve wracking.

Yes, well done. It's great to see folk take the initiative. Your positive approach should add some credit to your CV.
