    iOS 5 worked on my iPad on the third attempt. Working on my mom's iPhone 4 now. Three hours remaining though.

    I love iMessage since I don't have an iPhone (yet), and I LOVE the notification bar and the new notifications on the home screen. Amazing.

    IOS5: took a long time to download, then when I tried to install, my iPad wouldn't just upgrade the IOS it had to be restored - so it said - then it said it was unable to restore. Finally on the third try it restored, took a long time, had to make some new folders. While doing this I called Apple Care, the person I talked to said that I was the first person he'd talked to that actually was able to install, so much traffic that people are having many problems. I would imagine that there will be tweaks to the system. He advised waiting a few days enforce upgrading my wife's iPhone.

    Oh boy, it gave me the "there was an error with backing up your iphone (-50)". I hope that didn't mean it wiped out her apps. My mom might be po'ed about that. Otherwise it seems to be finishing okay.
