    Got MY new toy!

so, i posted a while back about trying to find a projector toy for my son(s)… (link to post)

Well, i ended up going with aaxa's P1 Jr. Im pretty stoked on it!

    AAXA's specs form their site:
    -brightness: 10 Lumens
    - fan noise: <20db
    - projection image- 10-50 inches
    -LED life: 20,000 hours.

all in all pretty good spec's for a unit that is only around 100.00…

i thought it might be helpful to put up this little video i made of trying it out.

Sorry if the video is lame... i just seem to like any video with my son in it!

now i know i'm using my iphone in the video but that is cause I'm waiting for my ipad 2 to be delivered!!

I was pretty impressed with the quality and it was so stinkin convenient to have such a tiny little thing to project his veggie tales with in his room! now, i did have to shut the blinds to make the picture bright enough to view it, ( our blinds suck so i could not get it as dark as i wanted) but it was well worth the trade off of having this tiny little projector fit on the side of his book shelf…

overall...for $109, it projects a decent picture that easily keeps my son entertained. And I like how it's so easy to connect to my iphone with the iphone cable i bought from AAXA Technologies - Pico Projector Specialists - Advanced Nano-LCoS Systems

Ok so i'm trying to get my post count up so i figured i'd review another toy i picked up this weekend! ...i got a totally unexpected bonus and i was so impressed with the P1jr. i picked up the "M1 ultimate" from a local shop... would have done amazon i did not want to worry about shipping if i did not like it...

    The good:
performance -It was pretty dang bright @ 75 lumens…* I really could not believe dang small this thing was while being decently bright… It was pretty sharp. and color was pretty smooth… I'm not to familiar with all of the Projector terms but it did look great as far as i'm concerned…
the looks - Now, design i know… The build was nice, and the weight felt great, not like some products that look rad but when you pick them up they just feel cheep… on the contrary, this felt pretty rad. There are touch controls on the top that look good and then look great when you activate them cause they are backlit with a blue led!
perifrials - The M1 ultimate contains built in media player… I was not to big on this cause i have all my media on my iPHONE/iPAD but i could see me using it in a pinch… There is an SD card reader on it, which seemed nice due to the fact that media is always getting bigger and my library is ever expanding….

    The not so good:
The remote had to be pretty close to the unit for it to work well… and all that did was tempt me to use the rad onboard touch controls… The menu was not as bad as some of the reviews i had read…. but it was not my favorite...

Here is a shot of the screen in some different lighting:
