The little blip would just move from one room in my house to another lol.
Question: since Gizmodo is stating the tracking is via cell triangulation and not actual gps for the most part how would a wifi only iPad be affected since there is no 3G and no gps chip?

The ironic thing is that the FCC requires all wireless phones be tracked. That congressional "probe" could become quite amusing:
