We are getting very strong gusts of wind which makes me wonder how long the magnolia blooms will last when out.

Your garden is looking terrific Richard. And those pale new leaves on the trees signal Spring is here at last for sure. Now I'm looking at that small stack of circular paving stones, and still trying to guess what you are up to there. I'm guessing a water feature of some sort? LOL.

No, it won't be a water feature. The circular stones are for a path and plant pot stands.

That's a lovely coloured Magnolia you have there, Richard! Ours isn't quite there yet. Ours is a paler version. Our bluebells are growing well. Can't wait for them to come out. The forsythias are beautiful around here.

Thank you Hayles. The magnolia gets better each year. We have put in some bedding plants in the front garden. It all looks nice and colourful.

Thank you, Ski. Thank goodness everything survived yesterday's torrential rain showers and very gusty wind. I just had to put a heavy timber pallet back in place after it was blown over.

We do love springtime. May is our favourite month. Hopefully with calmer conditions.

Richard, is that shrub with the pink flowers behind the magnolia a camellia? I put tiny one in last year. It's struggling.

Your garden looks so neat and beautiful. I weeded on and off all day yesterday and barely made a dent. Thanks for posting the pictures.

    Hi Bobbi.

Yes it's a camellia. Hopefully the frost doesn't return to burn the flowers. Our white one in the front garden comes out earlier in the year only to get frost bitten.

    Many thanks for you comments

This poor little thing is the camellia I planted last year. It made it through the winter and has blooms. Perhaps some day it will approach the beauty of yours Richard.
