so im selling my MacBook Pro (again) and i have let someone borrow it for a couple weeks, so i wanted to know what i can do to clear the hard drive easily? im looking for an equivalent to an iPad restore if possible. anyone know of anything?

so im selling my MacBook Pro (again) and i have let someone borrow it for a couple weeks, so i wanted to know what i can do to clear the hard drive easily? im looking for an equivalent to an iPad restore if possible. anyone know of anything?
I haven't done this but I think you can just use Disk Utilities in the Utilities folder in the applications folder. And reformat your Hard Drive, it can rewrite everything to zero or you can do some higher security rewrites of the drive. And then you would need the install disks to re install OSX. Hope this helps, I don't know if this is the best way but just an option. Should be info about reinstalling the OS on the Apple website.

In Diskutility you can do a secure erase. Takes ages, but deletes all data for sure.
