The zoom is a motorola android tablet, not Microsoft.

Yeah, I think he was referring to the Zune. (Although I wouldn't be too surprised if Motorola were pulling the Xoom from the market, either.)

Must be, as there is confirmation of that on Cnet news.

Microsoft will not be making any new models of the Zune, but will continue to sell the current models until existing stock is sold out. That is estimated to be in 2017. They will continue software support.
