The Chinese manufacturer Ramos is back in shape for the last term of 2010 with a new product in the category of Tablet MID. After the success of W7, Ramos presents the W9, running Android 2.1 and the newest platform Rockchip RK2818 with 1Ghz processor and 256MB of DDR2.
It adopts a LED resistive touch screen of 7 inches with resolution of 800 × 480 pixels. Regarding the design of the tablet, the Ramos W7 was a ipod touch knockoff, but the W9 reminds us directly to the iPad, with a white plastic body and an aluminum outline. Quite powerful for its size, 120mm x 195mm x 12.5mm and 300g, it is capable of 720p HD video playback. Looking at the connections, it gives us the bare minimum with a micro USB, an HDMI output, 3.5mm jack, and and SD card. Ramos announced 8 hours of battery but didn’t tell us if this figure was measured with the WiFi enabled.
It will be available shortly, although the price or exact date of release has not yet been disclosed. It is said that it will be available by the end of october for 150 euros.

Apple iPad make the tablet reborn while Microsoft never could do it. But you know iPad is not alone in this wild world. Can this W9 tablet beat iPad or just a kidding product? We will find out the result after this review.
First of all, the screen is the most important one because it shows us a vision of the tablet. iPad is 9.7 inch and W9 is 7 inch. 7 inch (16:9) is better than the 9.7 inch (5:4) for the portable ability. W9 can play 720P video while iPad can not. Price? You just buy it without paying more.
