It wouldn't let me edit! If you go into user CP at the top of the forum(PC or safari iPad) and then edit avatar, you have to have copied a website such as avatar.jurko.net(which has free avatars) and paste into the URL box available and that will change your avatar

Hi i have read a couple of suggestions on troubleshooting i pad's that can not send emails but can receive emails. I have checked that the outgoing server password is complete and i have contact my service provider and was told that the port must be 25. The host name in outgoing mail server is smtp.vodamail.co.za. The incoming mail server host name and user name is the same as the outgoing server details. The user name is 27827287804.When trying to sent email i get the following message : The connection to the outgoing server smtp.vodamail failed.additional outgoing mail servers can be configured in settings>mail,contacts,calenders.
The incoming server port is 110 in advanced settings.
For whatever reason(s) my ipadforums.net has failed to load on my computer and my ipad. I guessed it was my fault so I abandoned this site for over a month. This is my second coming.

I'm newbie here. Just got my new ipad2 32gb wifi only on last Saturday.
So far I'm happy with my new gadget since i'm previously a Window Mobile user. :p
The only 'problem' i have is my ipad2 is already coming with ios4.3.5. Definetely no shsh file 4.3.3. backup since there is no one.
I'm going to navigate this forum to find wherther there is any possible way/tutorial to downgrade to 4.3.3 and jail break.
I just purchased an Ipad for my wife, not the 2, it's a 64gig model, plugged it into the wall socket, shows charging, then screen goes black. Now that it's charged, cannot seem to get it to stay on, apple logo will appear, nothing else, then it goes black in just a few seconds.
Can you please help me.

Hi, I'm pretty new here also but I experienced a black screen where nothing happened for me. I pressed the home button which is the round one in the middle at the bottom and the turn off button at the top simultaneously. If you hold these two buttons down, I had to do it for like 15 seconds, the apple icon appeared and then it started normal. Give this a try. It's a reset. Hope it works for you.Quote:
