There are apps that will allow you to have 2 browsers open at the same time, I think there may even be one which has more. Eg Tabletshare

There's also Paperhelper that splits the screen to a web browser and a text editor for students. It has moderate reviews, but there are apps, that allow for this feature.

It's also worth remembering the four finger swipe. Open the first app, close it then open the second app, you can now do a four finger swipe sideways across the screen between the apps......I use this all the time.
