I must have a really heavy finger. Does anyone know how to change the sensitivity of the touch pad.

You could try using a stylus.

Thanks for the information, which if I read between the lines, turns out to be very helpful. I thought maybe after searching off and on for months that I was missing something. You see, that happens quite often now that I am reaching the end of my effectiveness due to Alzheimer's disease. If that were not enough, CA of the sinus and autoimmune disease. It's probably an inability to feel the pressure I am putting on the screen. Can you imagine how on-the-go a person with a 147 IQ would be? And how the man is still in there but finds it hard not to come across as an idiot. That's me. I'll not take up your time again. Blessings to you all.

Feel free to "take up our time", we are here to help. There are lots of inbuilt functions in the iPad to assist those who are struggling to function so we may be able to assist in other ways.

If you have more questions, ask away.

I see no lines to be read between in any of responses to your original question. Your question was straightforward, and so were the answers.

If you have health problems that limit your use of the screen, you might want to check out the accessibility functions under Settings > General > Accessibility.

In the light of further info, maybe the stylus idea wouldn't work so well. I find it useful as it has a shock absorber effect. Not so great if you can't hold it and position it accurately.

Hope the other suggestions are more useful.
