After using FaceBook for 5 months successfully on my iPad, today when I try to open it, it closes back down immediately. I have tried resetting my iPad but to no avail.

I would have thought a reset would work with this problem......which iPad do you have? I'm thinking a ram issue first up, try deleting your history and cookies in Safari and see if this makes a difference. Settings - Safari - Clear History and Cookies and Data....this will clear more ram....let us know how you go.
