    Unhappy new to ipad

I used apple computer before. Now I use PC. My cell phone is not an iphone. This ipad is the first apple product I own. I am very unfamiliar with the device and wish to learn from the community about it. Soon after I set it up I was prompted by a message to update it. I thought it was necessary and did it. Unfortunately after the update Youtube disappeared. I only have two needs from this ipad. One of which is watching Youtube videos. The other is to use it as a photo album. Now Youtube is no longer on my ipad. All I do is putting my favorite photos in it. It is a little disappointing. I wonder why updating would wipe out Youtube.

Nothing went wrong within the control of any one that updated, as you did. YouTube is no longer supported and was dropped off the iPad after the 6.x update due to some "difficulties" in contract renewal between Apple and Google. But you can still download it via Safari, and myself I find the "Jasmine" App an excellent substitute.
