    Newbie iPad Owner

Newbie iPad owner here. Well, between iPads really, as I returned my 30 day iPad 3 to Best Buy just 4 days before it expired when I heard about the iPad 4 announcment. Oddly, I had the first gen Kindle Fire and was mad they replaced it after only a year. I decided to up it to the best (Apple) that I could trust to keep me up to snuff with the a trustworthy product that wouldn't be outdated right away. I replaced that KF 3 times with defects. Amazon was good but after a year was up, I would have a something that would be outdated and prob die on me. I replaced my laptop with the newest and best in Feb, and now there is a windows 8. So Apple did the same thing to me after a month of my first experience But, I'm getting the Apple 4. I loved that ipad 3,- best thing there is in a small package (but better size then the mini or KF IMO) So,- I'm back in in the fold when I get that 4, and going through iPad with drawal in the meantime.

I too would have returned my iPad if they had brought out a new ipad within 30 days of buying mine, that only makes sense.
But this notion that and iPad 3 is out of date is something that needs to be beat back! There is no app that won't run on an iPad 3. It does everything an iPad 4 will do.

Window 7 computers run all the same software that a windows 8 computer runs [not counting RT]. They are not out of date or obsolete or any less useful than they were last week. In fact, I think they are better.

Is an intel i3 CPU obsolete just because intel sells an i5 and an i7 CPU? Is an i7 dual core CPU no good because intel sells qual core CPUs?

People are letting things get out of hand thinking they have to have the latest and greatest or else it is no good. I'm sure apple will be happy to keep reselling us new stuff just because they upped the specs. But specs don't matter, the experience matters.

Thank you! And yes, you are right about the iPad 3. I loved it, and really, I was (am) torn between returning it for the iPad4 OR a Apple Store reconditioned iPad 3. I could up my memory and still have change. Expecially being a Newbie, I probably will not even notice the the changes in the iPad 4 since I was still finding things on the iPad 3 in those last days. I remember one of the Apple "help"call line people telling me "just play with your iPad" and I swear I could almost smell that California breeze coming over the phone. I was so impressed to get real people,- people right here in America. I remember calling Toshiba on my my Laptop charger this year and I could hardly understand the guy. I hate to have him lose his job,- but, heck, I just couldn't cut through the accent
