I'm looking to put a second google icon in a folder where I have placed my games (I.e. words with friends, scrabble, etc.) while keeping my other google icon separate. Could someone show me how to do that. Thanks.

Could you supply a screenshot so we can see what you are looking for? You should just be able to drag the icon into the folder unless the folder is already full. 12 apps=full.

If the icon is an app, then you can only have one instance of it on the iPad.
If it is bookmark shortcut (goes to a page in Safari) then you need to individually create/save each bookmark.
Hi and welcome to the Forum!
As Twerppoet has said you can only have one Google App unless you create another icon by going to Google through Safari. When Safari is open, load Google and then press the arrow thingy which is left of the URL, then press Add to Homescreen. You will then have another icon which you can put in a folder with your other apps. You can have 20 apps per folder.
