Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Do you mean your inbox here? If you hold your iPad in landscape you will see the mailboxes in the left hand panel....if its only showing your mail here, above this on the left is a Mailboxes Tab, press this and your different areas of mail will appear, Inbox, Sent, Trash. Let me know if this is not what you mean.

Hi, I do see the four items you mention but I don't see "All Mail" following them. I am reading "Sams Teach Yourself IPad 2 and it shows at p.79 an Item called All Mail with a full discussion. Also, I do not find the New Mailbox Button, how can I restore this? TIA, Ed Weidman

The native mail app is how I have described it. I've never seen this book so can't comment on what it is you're looking at. What features you have will depend on who you have your email set up with...POP accounts do not allow the ability for new mailboxes (folders) IMAP or exchange accounts do however. Gmail is a very good mail account which does provide this as does an iCloud account.

Have a look at this link.......is this what you are seeing in this book you have?

Ed, whatever guide you're reading might be wrong or out of date.

I have several email accounts on my iDevices and don't have any "New Mailbox Button."

You will see "All Inboxes" if you've added more than one email account. Have you got more than one email account added to your iPad?

Whenever you get new email in your inbox(es), a number will appear next to the mailbox, indicating new mail.
