Recently purchased my first IPad and stumbled on this site googling info about jailbreaking, customizing, etc.
As an old propeller-head and tech-o-phile I look forward to learning all things mundane and sublime about my new device, and this certainly seems like a good place to do just that.
My wife and I treated ourselves to Iphone 4s last fall. This was my first Apple device purchase since the black and white Macintosh days (what 1985/86 or so?). I see Apple is still as proprietary as ever about their technology. Decided to spring for the Ipad3 without the 3G/4G option. Streaming movies to the iphone was hurting my now presbyopic eyes

But I'm glad to be back, and look forward to the learning curve!
