    Hello everyone.....I'm new here.

I have a lovely new iPad (41st Anniversary present) and am struggling to make sense of it all. I joined this site to find out how to use it to it's best potential. Hoping that your joint experience will help me win!!!
I also have an iPhone (40th Anniv present) so am well set up with technology.

Some things I am puzzled about and haven't found a satisfactory answer for yet.....
    a) Why can't I log on to the Internet everywhere? I thought I was going to be able to. Did I get the wrong model?
    b) I have the same problem with my iPhone. I would have thought that I should be able to get Wi-Fi (an internet connection) everywhere that I can get a phone signal.
    c) Photos. Downloading them from my computer, and then being able to edit, deleting the ones I don't want, has defeated me....

I'm still searching on here for the answers......so a hint where to look would be wonderful...

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

What type of iPad did you get, there is wifi and wifi with 3G. Internet is only available where there is a free wifi connection that has no security connected to it, which will allow you to connect to it. A 3G iPad has a sim whereby you will be able to access internet at any time as long as the area you are in has coverage.
Any photos synced from your computer cannot be deleted on the iPad itself, you need to delete these by resyncing to your PC and unchecking the photos. Have a look at these links.

The downloadable free book referenced by m. Hormel is available in iBooks. Every time a new version of the iOS is released, Apple offers a new iBook. I prefer getting an iBook, as it is easier to refer to than a Website.
