    Bon Jour from London

I am an oldie and my initial intention for getting an iPad was to utilise the iBook facility due to my poor eyesight.

However as I am learning more about this machine, I am now looking forward to using it as it was intended.

I am in France for a couple of months, my wife is in London for a couple of weeks, she has bought the iPad and I am now getting prepared to set it up when she returns.

I do make an attempt to read the manual and use the search facility on the forum, but, not always successful and therefore any posts I will make.

    Looking forward to your assistance.

    Hi kestrel1,

There's no manual in the iPad box, just in case you haven't seen it yet.
But you can download the digital version via Apple.com, check out the URL below

    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPad_User_Guide.pdf

Also, you can watch the guided tour video on the Apple's official site, check it via the URL below

    Thanks for the welcome

    Thanks everyone for your tips.

For col.bris - I decided I was an oldie when I stopped holding my stomach in whilst walking on the beach and didn't care!
