    Ipad email program freezing

When I try to scroll through, read and then delete emails , my program is freezing. This began a few days ago. I have to wait awhile and do something else before I can scroll through and delete again. Help!

Are you viewing your email on the web or in the mail app? If you are viewing online on the email mobile server, maybe the pages are still trying to load while you are scrolling and that is why it is freezing on you.

I am viewing them in the mail app. I can be impatient, maybe they are still loading at the time. I'll see if that makes a difference, thanks

Yes, let us know...I know if I haven't gone on in a few days, it takes a little bit to upload. Also, take a look in your settings and see how many emails are set to show. I have mine at 50, which is the minimum. Maybe that has something to do with it.

If you have not done so, you should also try these common fixes.

    ------------------------------
When you have problems with an app it's a good idea to clear it from RAM.

Close/Clear the app: With the problem app closed, double tap on the Home button to get the multitask bar. Tap and hold on any icon in the bar until they jiggle, then tap the minus sign on the problem app. This will remove it from RAM and insure a clean start the next time you launch the app.

If that does not work try a restart,

Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends you restart the iPad at least once a month.

and then a reset if that does not work.

Reset: Hold down the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears. The iPad will reboot. This usually takes a bit longer than a restart.

Hi I don't know if I am in the right page, I m new to IPad. I have two companies and I would like to receive emails from one of the two outside the mail app. On my mac book pro I use Outlook as part of Office. What programme could I use for IPad? I tried the app called Outlook for IPad but it only works with Exchange accounts. Thanks in advance

Very good information! My eMail had also frozen and your solution (by removing the app from RAM) worked perfectly! I noticed you've also recommended this in other posts but the additional info on resetting is very handy to know as well. Thank you!

I'm afraid I'm not personally familiar with the third party email apps (other than GMail and Yahoo), and I don't know of any iPad ones off the top of my head that support Exchange. Hopefully someone else has more knowledge on the subject.

Though, you can set a GMail account up to fetch email from other accounts. You might be able to do this in conjunction with the GMail app. I've never tried it myself.
