My microphone on my ipad2 isn't working, it sound like static on FaceTime or even when I try to make videos. Will I have to buy another one.? Or can the apple store fix it ?

Have you looked to make sure it is free of dust or grit?
Apple are more likely to swap out your iPad rather than fix it. Is it still under warranty?
