Sync PDF from ibook to icloud

Hello all, I have an ipad2 and iphone4g. I have some pdf documents from a conference I would like to have available on my iphone. Is there anyway to send to icloud so it is automatic rather than plugging in to itunes? TX

No way to do it the way you are describing, using iBooks. Only iBooks Store content can be set to automatically download on other devices.

You could place your PDF files in DropBox. Several of the better PDF apps will access DropBox directly, making all your files available (as long as you have internet access. You just need to remember to download the ones you want first if your going to be off line.

GoodReader and PDF Expert are my choices. You get a lot more than just a reader.

The DropBox app itself will keep a local copy of any file you mark as a favorite.

Sorry for resuscitate this old thread but since OS X mountain lion you can now drag 'n drop pdf documents to "Preview.app" into the "iCloud" section (upper left of the screen). Now I can see my documents on all my macs that are using my apple ID by looking for the documents under: /Users/<user>/Library/Mobile Documents

Thanks for the update, but this won't work to transfer PDF's to the iPad. We're hoping that it will come with iOS 6. Not that this helps Windows users. At least not yet.

I do like the iCloud additions to Mountain Lion. The new Notes and Reminders apps (and their ability to sync to their iOS versions) are very nice, but for those of us with iOS devices the new story is only half written.
