I was trying to edit the Mail program. During the process the entire Settings app froze. How to I free it up?

If attempting to close the settings back to home doesn't work, you may want to try to do a restart of the iPad. Do this by pressing the power button until you get the slide lock allows you to turn it off.

If that doesn't work, reset: press home and powere button at the same time. Than restart and test again.
