Hello IPad Forum, my name is terry I'm 55 years old,married and the father of wonderful 17 year old high school student. I bought my wife an IPad2 for christmas and I promise it's the first gift I;ve ever bought that se really likes! Only problem is I must fix and be all technical support. Three days ago my wife informs me that she can no longer access the internet. I can't figure it out .
I have turned the wi-fi off and than on again;nothing. and than I restore iPad to factory settings and I think I erased my pass word. I forgot the password and don't know what to do next. Can someone please help

Hi there-sorry for the frustations. Had you checked if your wife's iPad was able to pick up wifi in other areas other than your home. That would have given you an idea if it was the iPad or the fault of your wifi network connection. From there, you could have powered down your modem and router to see if that fixed the issue.

Now-when you say your password-are you referring to your wifi network password?

I had to wipe my iPhone once and to restore wifi connectivity it meant having to input the modem access code again ... That ghastly long bit of numbers and letters that you need a magnifying glass (I'm 55 too) to see. Try that and let us know what happens.
